Within the board, a CFO is responsible for the financial and strategic aspects of an organization. Within Voortman Steel Group, one of the tasks of the CFO is to make financial reports on the various companies within his group. However, this was a challenge, as different ERP systems are being used by these companies.
The wish arose to make it easier to keep an overview and to always have up-to-date information. The data that is required for this comes from AFAS for one company and the other from SAP. Two commonly used ERP software in the manufacturing industry. Combining this data was a relatively manual and time-consuming process.
